PlayTime...

Another layout done!! YIPEE!! Summer/No School sure leaves more time for scrapping!! (at least so far)

And, I am not sure what it is, but between my last two layouts I think I have gone flower NUTS!! If I get too out of control, someone stop me. Maybe I'll do a masculine layout next just to get control back , LOL!!

These are pictures of Sadie in July 2005! She was TWO!! Just look at those chubby legs and feet and fingers...so cute! Again, the flowers are throwing the colors off in the scan. The background is a soft pink....not lavedarish as it looks here.

I used a Becky Fleck sketch to start with, but it was a 6x12 horizotal sketch that I majorly skewed, so the end result doesnt look much like the original

Thanks for looking!

4 is Fabulous...

I completed this layout tonight for a challenge at http://www.colorstorychallenge.com/ They posted this inspirational piece and asked scrappers to run with it!

I thought it was a very fun piece, and knew exactly what papers I would use for the layout. I had to look a bit for some pics to go with them, but I knew I'd know the perfect pics when I saw them and there they were!! I did a layout about Sadie's 4th birthday. I had SO MUCH FUN with the flowers and stitching on the chipboard (I've never done that before!).
The winner of this contest will be decided by a random drawing, so wish me GOOD LUCK in getting picked out of the hat!

Layout...Grizzly Bear....

I used a Becky Fleck sketch to make this layout about our doogy! LOVED this sketch....I'll probably use it again...

I used the sewing machine on this layout. I often WANT to use my sewing machine, but rarely do...too much to get it out every time...but when I used it on that Mothers Day card, I left it out so that I can use it more easily.
I am LOVING this Archaic line of Basic Grey! I bought some with a gift certificate won in a contest last month, and it came this week...I couldnt WAIT to use it.
In the title, I dabbed the back of the ghost letters with chalk ink and then briefly heat set it. I think it is a cool effect that you can see the patterned paper through them even though they are tinted. Thanks for checking out my blog!!

Mother's Day Cards....

I saw a card contest over at the Scrapbooker's Clubhouse Blog, and thought as long as I am going to be making Mother's Day cards, I may as well have them count for a contest too....the whole two birds:one stone concept. Here are the first two (they are all based on sketches by Noella)

The third one is a work in progress on my scrappy table....hopefully I can get to it later today.

TOOT TOOT!....

I won 4 layout contests in April!! I was pleasantly surprised!! I hadn't entered anything in several months, so I wasn't sure how it'd go, but I am happy with the results. Now I am expecting some FUN scrappy mail. Always nice to look forward to the mail!!

A scrappy/creative/photography blog for me...

I think I have needed a blog like this for a while. I don't know why I put off doing it. Well, now that it is done, I guess I should get creative and USE it.
To start things off, I'll post my one and only layout that I got made on National Scrapbook Day (May 3).Some older photos of my oldest son at a Krispy Kreme birthday party for his cousin. Doesn't it just make you want a doughnut!?....a warm one from Krispy Kreme....freshly dipped in warm chocolate....with a cold glass of milk..... HEY, SNAP OUT OF IT! We don't even have Krispy Kreme here anymore....I am just torturing myself.

This layout was based on a PageMap by Becky Fleck (love those things!) that I flipped and squished. Thanks for looking!
